A shared future

Birgunj vision

21-year-old young independent mayoral candidate, diploma civil engineer, entrepreneur, and rapper from Birgunj, turning ideas into action for a better-run city.

Public priorities

Clear problems, practical action

Birgunj should grow as a clean, organised, opportunity-filled city with services that remain accountable to its people.

From challenge to response

What needs to change, and how

Challenges I want to address

  1. Jobs and youth migration

Unemployment pushes many young people from Birgunj to look for work abroad, taking their skills and energy with them.

  2. Drainage, waste, and sanitation

Blocked drains, unmanaged waste, and poor sanitation affect daily life, public health, and the image of the city.

  3. Irregular infrastructure

Roads and public works are built unevenly and without a clear plan, so some neighbourhoods wait while others are dug up again.

  4. Health care and education

Access to quality health care and education is still limited for many families.

  5. Slow services and corruption

Delays and corruption in public service delivery cost residents time, money, and trust.

  6. Environmental damage

Polluted rivers and degraded public spaces make the city less healthy and less liveable.

Proposed solutions

  1. Basic services first

Put sanitation, drainage, water supply, health care, roads, and public transport at the top of the agenda.

  2. Service before position

Measure leadership by services delivered, not by position or party, with practical solutions instead of symbolic commitments.

  3. Digital governance

Use digital services to cut delays, make public work visible, and make officials easier to hold to account.

  4. Cleaner rivers and city

River cleaning and urban beautification for a cleaner, more organised Birgunj.

  5. Startups, jobs, and youth programmes

Support startups and youth programmes and generate employment, so young people can build a future in Birgunj.
